Matshepho is a band based in Limpopo, in a small town called  Lephalale, “the heart of the Bushveld”. The band was formed in 2015 with the intention to uplifting upcoming musicians around Lephalale by providing them with a platform to showcase their talent. The band consists of members who are freelancers, some of whom have persuaded their solo careers.

 Matshepho has performed in well  known   events such as Lephalale Jazz Festival where it had the opportunity to share the stage with Ringo Madlingozi and Zahara to name the few they also  performed at the  Bosveld Fees ,they made history as the first local black bands ever to perform in that event  not forgetting Lephalale Black and White , event where they shared the stage with the likes of  Makhadzi and Munada.

 Matshepho Band has released their first single titled “Kwenzenjani” ; The song is about   substance abuse, child abuse and gross domestic violence. There’s also an EP available on all digital platforms, check the links below.
